KAMPALA - The National Unity Platform (NUP) Party has said that Presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine will launch his manifesto from Mbarara on Friday.

The party's Secretary General, David Lewis Rubongoya confirmed on Wednesday, during a press conference at the Party headquarters in Kamwokya, Kampala.

"Party President, Kyagulanyi will launch our manifesto in Mbarara City on Friday, November 6, 2020," Rubongoya said.

He explained that they had slated to launch their manifesto on the day of nomination but security failed them.

Rubongoya cautioned the Electoral Commission (EC) to come out and explain to the general public and the NUP executive committee on why the police arrested their candidate.

"The EC claims to be independent, so let them come out and explain the constant brutality on us and our supporters," he said, adding that their candidate has rejected and will not co-operate with the security team that was availed to him by the EC.
