As people are facing several challenges to come up with innovations in this COVID-19 pandemic, the Hague Institute for Innovation of Law (HiiL) will give out grants and support to Ugandan innovators in the legal profession.

The programme is aimed at helping innovators to have sustainable models and not be donor reliant, therefore receiving business development support to help them stabilise in their modules.

This is why a portfolio of 15 justice innovators has been given an opportunity to go through a four-week HiiL COVID-19 resilience program and each group will be helped to develop and improve on their innovations and share their ideas with potential clients.

"The support and the grant will help me deal with legal costs, and publicise my work on new channels such as digital screens in city centers and do more printing to reach the people," Michel Kategaya team leader Evidence and Methods Lad said.

Among the companies that attended the HiiL demo at Innovation village in Ntinda, Kampala includes, Evidence and Methods Lab, Nkola, Justice Bott, Zimba games and Tang among others.
