ELECTIONS 2021

President Yoweri Museveni has embarked on rallying for online support as the countdown draws closer to his nomination date as flagbearer for the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM).

Museveni is among the presidential candidates who have been cleared by the Electoral Commission for nominations and his date is due on November 2.

"To those who believe in our candidature, our direction, our ideology, and #SecuringYourFuture, it is four days to the #M7Nomination," Museveni posted on his Facebook and Twitter handles.

His daily posts started on October 26 when he posted a flyer with a message ‘Sevo2021' under the theme, "Securing your future".

This was followed by another reminder, "Bazukulu, we have six days to #M7Nomination."

On Wednesday, the President thanked supporters for putting confidence in him.

"To the NRM and our supporters, we are on a count down together ahead of the #M7Nomination. Thank you once again for putting confidence in me."

Being a scientific election where most campaigns will be carried out online, Museveni seems to be one of the candidates who is adjusting his mode of delivering information to supporters.

Already the Police have warned presidential candidates not to involve in processions as they head for nominations.
