Internal affairs ministry to resume work tomorrow

KAMPALA - The Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced that its offices at the headquarters will resume work tomorrow, Thursday (October 22, 2020).

The ministry spokesperson, Jacob Siminyu has said, adding that there was a need to deliver service to the public and they will be able to serve at least 50 percent of the public.

"We shall resume work tomorrow on Thursday following the standard operating procedures (SOPs) put by the Ministry of Public Service, indicating that we can serve at least 50 percent of the public," Siminyu said.

He revealed that the public service ministry issued standard operating procedures indicating that agencies and ministry departments can serve at least 50 percent of the public.

Siminyu called upon the public to remain calm and adhere to the health guidelines to curb the COVID-19 pandemic.

The remarks come shortly after the same offices went closed on Monday evening due to some administrative procedures which were taking place during the two days they have been closed.
