Skywalkers Daudi Okello stars in season opener

Daudi Okello's made his intentions to win the league known with his 30 points haul for the Hyundai Capital Skywalkers in the season opener against Wooricard in the Korean Volleyball league on Tuesday.

Okello who wanted his presence felt in the new season is off to a flyer and if the performances stay consistent, he has it in him to lead the team to the top.

Skywalkers won the first set by 25-21, the second by 25-21, and the third by 25-19. The comprehensive win has injected some confidence in the Cheonan based team that was hosting the match.

"Yes, it was what I wanted, a good start and morale-boosting win to the team. Getting 30 points in 3 sets was a great feeling too, we shall keep fighting," Okello told the New Vision.

Their next game on Saturday is against the Samsung Blue Fangs and they expect even more of a challenge.

"This result will not make us relax, instead we shall work more and polish today's game as we plan for the next game too," he said.
The Blue Fangs opened their account against Kepco with a 3-2 win.
