The party’s nominations will be held October 15-16 October

MP Robert Kyagulanyi on Tuesday launched a nationwide tour of the National Unity Platform (NUP) offices.

Kyagulanyi said NUP is a registered political party that follows the same rules just like any other political party in the country.

He added that the Police has constantly blocked opposition parties from accessing radio and TV stations yet the Electoral Commission had directed candidates to have scientific campaigns.

Joel Ssenyonyi the party spokesperson said that there are people who are using the NUP symbol yet they are not holders of party cards.

"Some people have used the NUP symbol yet they are not flag bearers. Just know that you are promoting NUP but you will never use the umbrella symbol on the ballot paper," he said.

The party's nominations will be held October 15-16 October.
