The Royal Nairobi leg is the second in a series of 12 tournaments that will constitute the 2020/21 Safari Tour

Professional Ugandan golfers Abbey Bagalana and Phillip Kasozi will be looking for redemption as the second leg of the 2020/21 Safari Tour rages on at the Royal Nairobi Golf Club on Monday.

Bagalana failed to make the cut in the first leg of the 12 tournament series at Limuru Country Club last weekend and is now joined by Kasozi, who was the best Ugandan competitor in last season's tour.

Kasozi who failed to earn an automatic entry into the sh1b Magical Kenya Open, which is the ultimate prize of the tour, will this time be aiming for consistency and earn points from every leg in order to stand a chance.

He tees off at 10:00 am alongside Kennedy Abuto and Boniface Simwa in the event that has attracted 58 professionals all fighting for the top prize of sh3.5m for the winner.

Zimbabwe's Robinson Chinhoi who had grabbed direct entry into the Kenya Open having finished among the best two non-Kenyan nationals, before the tournament was cancelled because of the coronavirus is also in the fray alongside Bagalana and Kenya's Frank Matilo, teeing off at 9:40 am before Kasozi.

The Royal Nairobi leg is the second in a series of 12 tournaments that will constitute the 2020/21 Safari Tour, which will see golfers play in Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda, culminating with the 2021 Magical Kenya Open set to be hosted at the Karen Country Club in March next year.

Kenya's Greg Snow won the opening leg of the annual series at Limuru Golf Club last week.

Nigeria's Andrew Odoh and Zimbabwe's Robson Chinhoi had grabbed the two slots for the non-Kenyan nationals, while Kenya's Greg Snow, Dismas Indiza, Simon Ngige, Erick Ooko, David Wakhu, C.J Wangai, and Rizwan Charania where the other Africans set to fight it out with other golfers from all over the world before the postponement.
