The Nigerian managed to score only one goal

KCCA FC and striker John Egbuonu Odumegwu have agreed to part ways.

The Nigerian forward who joined the Lugogo-based side after signing a two-year contract in September 2019, failed to live up to expectations.

During his time at KCCA, Odumegwu scored only one goal which came away at Maroons FC on October 22, 2019, in a 3-1 win.

The acting CEO Michael Kirunga confirmed Odumegwu's departure.

"Yes, it is true the club has mutually agreed with Odumegwu to terminate his contract. We thank him for his time at the club and wish him the very best in his future," stated Kirunga.

He joins Lawrence Bukenya, Muzamiru Mutyaba, Erisa Ssekisambu, Jackson Nunda, Saddam Juma, Tom Ikara, and Eric Ssenjobe among others who have been released by the club.
