The First Lady instructed that an immediate and fast investigation be carried out to ascertain what caused the fire because it was very unexpected.
From a distance upon her arrival, the First lady and Education Minister, Mrs. Janet Kataha Museveni was able to see smoke coming out of Makerere University's Main building.
The First Lady instructed that an immediate and fast investigation be carried out to ascertain what caused the fire because it was very unexpected.
She also promised to talk to President Yoweri Museveni to see that government restores Makerere's iconic building and hopes that there will be another building set up to replace the old structure.
