We will always celebrate Mum

Mum was our best friend and comforter, our shelter, our strength and our provider.

CELEBRATING LIFE

A decade since she passed on, Annet Nakityo's influence still prevails strongly among her family members and friends.

She is missed dearly by her children: Aisha Nalubwama, Gloria Nakyajja, Vivian Nampijja, Olivia Nabbona and Adrian Tendo Ssemanda.

Nakyajja spoke admirably of her mother: "Mum was our best friend and comforter, our shelter, our strength and our provider.

Life has not been the same since mum left us. She taught us many things that have made us responsible, useful and respectable people in the communities where we live. We will always celebrate her for her inspirational teachings."

Nalubwama said: "We thank God for the love and life we shared with Mum. Through her successful business career at Park View Bar and salon, in Kampala, she taught us the virtue of hard work by example."

"Mum was energetic and lively, projecting a fruitful life ahead of her. Much as we are still in shock over her passing on, we have the consolation of our aunt, Agnes Babirye, who willingly took up the responsibility of nurturing us.

She has always provided for us and treated us like her own children. This is because she loved our mum."

Nakityo died at Nakasero Hospital after being diagnosed with liver complications.

Her family members recently organised a memorial service to commemorate her life and example.
