Police battles Gomba protesters

 The Police in Gomba district was on Sunday afternoon involved in battles with supporters of Eng. Wilberforce Kaggwa, one of the people who contested in the recently conducted NRM primaries for Gomba West constituency.

In the final results announced by the Gomba district NRM registrar, Robinah Rwakoojo polled 28,237 votes against Kaggwa's 6,830 votes.

Hundreds of angry supporters started the processions from Kabulasoke town council, matching to Kanoni, saying they are tired of vote rigging.

"It is our right to demonstrate peacefully. We are tired of vote rigging in Gomba district," one of the women said.
