He becomes the club’s ninth signing of the transfer window

Express FC's new signing Isaac Nsengiyunva believes mental strength will key if the club is to excel next season.

The 20-year-old revealed this shortly after joining the Red Eagles on a three-year deal from Mukono based Free Stars FC. Nsengiyunya becomes the club's ninth signing of the transfer.

"I believe in the team and I am sure we shall surely perform well. Although I think our mental strength has to be up there as it will help the players to be focused even when we have a dip in form," stated Nsengiyunva.

The defensive midfielder also promised to protect his defence so as to avoid conceding goals.

"First, I will have to do my part as a defensive midfielder. I have to protect my back four but also go forward depending on what coach Wasswa Bbosa will advise," he added.

He joins the likes of Abel Eturude, Mahad Kakooza, Godfrey Lwesibawa, and Mustafa Kiragga among the other new signings.

The six-time league champions await the start of the season which is scheduled for October 17.
