A couple with quintuplets cry for help

Aug 31, 2020

NAMUTUMBA- August 2019 is a year to remember for Sofia Mutesi and Bilari Mbasalire residents of Kibaale village in Namutumba district.

The couple gave birth to quintuplets in Iganga main hospital. This was a miracle.

However, what they considered a blessing has turned in to a nightmare.

The couple of 13 children said that they are overwhelmed with responsibilities to raise the children hence asking for rescue.

Currently, the babies are one-year-old, unfortunately, one passed on. The remaining are three girls and a boy.

Mutesi said that her son passed on due to lack of enough necessities like food, drinks and medical care.

Mbasalire who is currently unemployed expressed fear that they might loss the remaining children because of the same situation.

He has called upon Mariam Naigaga, the woman MP for Namutumba district and local leaders to fulfil their pledge of constructing them a house.

"We are currently renting  but I am afraid that we might be evicted any time," said Mbasalire.
