Tito Okello departs Vipers for Gor Mahia

He joined Vipers at the start of the 2018/19 season

Few days after leaving Vipers SC following the expiration of his contract, striker Tito Okello has joined Kenya giants Gor Mahia on a two-year deal.

Okello who failed to agree personal terms Vipers before departing was among several players who left the club due to different reasons.

His arrival at Gor Mahia comes after several players have left the Kenya Premier League club especially due to unpaid arrears including Ugandan midfielder Juma Balinya who is on the verge to join KCCA FC.

Okello joined Vipers at the start of the 2018/19 season after a brief stint at Benfica de Macau also featured for KCCA FC, BUL, and Tanzania's African Lyon.

He joins a number of Ugandan players that have played for the Kenyan side including the late David Otti, Jimmy Bageya, Godfrey Walusimbi, Daniel Muzeyi Sserunkuma, Khalid Aucho, Shafiq Batambuze, Erisa Ssekisambu, Hashim Ssempala, and Juma Balinya among others.

Gor Mahia is one of the most successful Kenyan sides having won 18 league titles and is set to feature in the CAF Champions League.
