Nine children killed by lightning in Arua

At least nine children have been struck dead by lightning in Arua City, Uganda Red Cross Society has revealed.

The children aged between 13 and 15 met their death on Thursday evening while playing football at a pitch in Odramacaku, Ayivu West Division in Arua City.

A total of 10 children were playing football when tragedy befell them, only one survived.

The bodies of the dead are currently at Arua Regional Referral Hospital mortuary.
