Revised roadmap for elections of SIGs committees

The election of the older persons committees at parish and ward level under the special interest groups (SIGs) category will get under way on Friday.

The Electoral Commission recently issued a revised programme for the elections of committees for SIGs (older persons, persons with disabilities and youths) from the parish to the national level.

In a statement, the Commission urged all stakeholders in the electoral process for SIGs elections to "carefully study the programme and to participate in accordance with the timelines and guidelines issued for the respective activities".
