Vipers interested in defender Katongole
Vipers are in advanced talks to sign defender Farouk Katongole from FUFA Big League side Tooro United. The towering defender who had been linked to SC Villa reportedly failed to agreed personal terms with them. If the deal at Vipers materialises, he will team up with his formers coaches Fred Kajoba and his assistant Paul Kiwanuka. The trio were once at Bright Stars together.

Sekagya returns to Vipers
Goalkeeper Bashir Sekagya will return to Vipers. The youthful keeper has been on loan at relegated Proline. Ssekagya will now challenge first choice goalkeeper Fabien Mutombora who conceded only 15 goals last season.

UPDF FC interested in Vipers trio
Few hours after being released by Vipers, striker Dickens Okwir is now linked with a move to new league entrants UPDF FC. Frank ‘Zaga' Tumwesigye and Brian Kalumba are the other players from Vipers that UPDF are interested in. Kalumba was recently sent on loan to club yet to be name. If the deal materialises, they will join Ronnie Kisekka, Ibrahim Wammanah, James Begisa, Simon Mbaziira as some of the new players recruited by the club.

Sebwato heads to Tanzania
Goalkeeper Nicholas Sebwato who had earlier been linked with a move to Vipers is reported to be in Tanzania to finalise a move with Namungo FC. The custodian who a few days ago reportedly terminated his contract with Kenya's Sofapaka over monthly arrears has also featured for Bright Stars and Onduparaka. Sebwato is one of the custodians that have lived up to task when given an opportunity.
