Vipers SC has released six players deemed surplus to requirements ahead of the 2020/21 season.

These include are Brian Nkuubi, left-back Farouk Musisi, Frank 'Zaga' Tumwesigye, goalkeeper Derrick Ochan, Dan Birikwalira, and Abram Ndugwa.

Nkuubi, Ochan, and Birikwalira have all taken to social media to confirm their departure from the four-time league champions.

The group joins Tito Okello, Tom Masiko, and Duncan Seninde through the exit door. The latter was released while Okello left after failing to agree terms of a new contract and Masiko recently joined Wakiso Giants.

Vipers who have so far recruited Disan Galiwango, Ibrahim Orit, Jamil Kalisa, and David Bagoole are expected to add winger Viane Ssekajugo and Nicholas Ssebwato to the club's squad.

It promises to be a busy season for the Kitende-based side with participation in the CAF Champions League, Uganda Premier League, Uganda Cup, FUFA Super 8, and the FUFA Super Cup.
