Businessman Kabanda released on bail

It is alleged that he attempted to cause grievous harm on police officers by stoning them while they were executing their duties.

Buganda Road court has released on bail the patron of Kampala new generation traders' association, a one John Kabanda, who has been on remand over charges of intending to cause grievous harm to police officers.

Chief magistrate Miriam Okello has released Kabanda on a cash bail of one million shillings after satisfying court that he has substantial sureties and that he will not abscond court.

Kabanda is facing four charges of committing an act not authorised by law and intending to cause grievous harm to police officers.

It is alleged that on July 29, 2020 at Nabugabo, he attempted to cause grievous harm on police officers PC Ssebunya and Ekip by stoning them while they were executing their duties.

 He returns to court on August 18, 2020.
