Uganda registers third COVID- 19 death

Uganda has registered its third COVID- 19 death. According to the health ministry, the deceased is a 67-year-old male of Nigerian origin and resident of Kisenyi, Kampala.
The patient who had symptoms consistent with COVID- 19 was admitted to Kiruddu Hospital where samples were taken and later turned out positive for the virus. He died on July 29, 2020.
Fifteen of his contacts have been listed so far. Samples were also taken from a 27-year-old male resident of Namisidwa district who collapsed and died on July 29 2020.
The deceased tested negative for COVID-19. The ministry also confirmed seven more cases today. Currently, Uganda has 1,154 COVID-19 confirmed cases and 1,028 recoveries .
