Pool braces itself for a return to action

Member clubs have been encouraged to renew their 2020 annual subscriptions

The Pool Association of Uganda chairman Bob Trubish and his executive committee are working tirelessly to ensure that pool returns as soon as the suspension of sports activities is lifted.

A lot of decisions have to be made ahead of the projected September restart and they are hoping for cooperation from all stakeholders.

"We are working as the executive committee to see to it that by the time we resume, we are ready to have pool move ahead as per our various expectations as member clubs and as stakeholders," Trubish said.

They will embark on giving all league clubs formal communication regarding the status and way forward on the current 2019/20 leagues by the end of this week.

Member clubs have also been encouraged to renew their 2020 annual subscriptions. The clubs were given an extended timeline for the end of August.

2020 member clubs that may have any proposals for the amendment of the constitution, handbook, or trust deed are encouraged to submit these to general secretary Paul Wasike by the latest the end of August in order for the amendments committee to consider them.

For now, clubs should stay put and wait for the communication from the National Council of Sports when it is safe to resume activities.
