He is the club's fifth signing of the transfer window

KCCA FC's new signing Bright Anukani says his first target with his new club is to reach the group stages of CAF Confederation Cup.

Anukani who joined the 13-time league champions from Proline on a season-long loan deal can play as attacking midfielder or support striker.

"One of the reasons I joined KCCA is to play CAF games since it will help me develop as a player. I want to see that KCCA reaches the group stages next season. I didn't achieve that while playing for Proline last season despite the fact that we played on the continent. But I believe with KCCA, we can reach the group stages since they have been there before," stated Anukani during his unveiling on Sunday.

"I believe I'm going to be comfortabele at KCCA since my style fits their style and secondly I have played with different KCCA players before such as Mustafa Kizza and Peter Magambo. I have come here to win. I have already talked to coach Mike Mutebi and he is welcoming just like the players. I'm ready to play each and every game," he added.

KCCA wanted to sign Anukani on a permanent basis however, Proline's asking price was high which led the two sides agreeing on a loan deal

However before joining KCCA, Anukani extended his deal with Proline for another year.

He becomes the fifth KCCA signing after Ashraf Mugume, Charles Lwanga, Italian-born Stephen Mazengo Loro and utility player Denis Iguma.
