Police in Rukungiri have arrested five suspects to help in the investigation of the circumstances surrounding the brutal murder and hurried burial of 46-year-old Rtd RA /173482 l/cpl Ambrose Nabimanya whose body was recovered with missing body parts.

Kigezi regional Police Spokesperson, Elly Maate, confirmed that Nabimanya who was a retired soldier and a resident of  Kashegu cell Kahoko parish Nyakagyeme sub-county Rukungiri District, went missing from the community of his home address on July 14.

"On the July 1 at about 6:00pm his body was found dead in his house of residence by one Victor Kashaija alias Vito who is also his uncle. He reported to the area LC1 Chairperson Cypriano Nshekanabo.  Family members gathered among whom was Noah Bigabwomwe who checked the body and found the private parts, one eye plucked out and the tongue cut off. However, family members led by Anna Kyomukama, Kashaija  and Nyesiga Sezi insisted  and the body was buried  at about 8:30Pm at night before post mortem examination," Mate said
