Pallisa starts construction of sh2b administrative block

Pallisa District Local Government has started the construction of a sh2b administrative block.

John Micheal Okurut, the district chairperson confirmed to New Vision that the sh2b project was receiving funding from the central government after frequent requests to upgrade the district headquarters. 

Okurut says the district had run short of offices where many workers kept sharing small space for operations saying the new block is expected to be completed in two years' time.

Maria Mukasa, the chief administrative officer Pallisa, said the new administrative block will accommodate the district council and other vital district offices.

Mukasa says the administrative block will be a storage building with three floors that he says will accommodate many workers.
