The Government of the Republic of Uganda (GoU) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Albertine Region Sustainable Development Project (ARSDP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Upgrading of Selected Gravel Roads (6.9 km} under Batch 2-Lot 1 to Bitumen Standard in Buliisa Town Council in Buliisa District. 2. The Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development on behalf of Government of Uganda (GoU) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Rehabilitation of Upgrading of Selected Gravel Roads (6.9 km) under Batch 2-Lot 1 to Bitumen Standard in Buliisa Town Council involving general site clearing; Earthworks involving common excavation, filling with selected approved material for improved subgrade and road bed preparation; drainage works involving installation of new culverts and stone pitching; pavement layers involving crushed aggregate for subbase and base and OBST for wearing course and ancillary works.
