Senior presidential advisor Dorothy Kisaka has said that her recent nomination for the position of Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director (ED) surprised her.

Kisaka, who is currently serving as the secretary and administrator of the national response fund against COVID-19, said this on her @dorothykisaka twitter handle on Wednesday.

"Friends, I was pleasantly surprised by the nomination by H.E the President @KagutaMuseveni to the office of ED @KCCA and I thank you for the many good wishes," she said.

The lawyer by profession added: "While we await due process, I want to thank you for the generous donations to the govt @Covid19FUNDUg."

If the public service commission approves her nomination, Kisaka will replace Jennifer as substantive ED.

Museveni recently directed the commission in a letter to interview Kisaka and four other officials to find out whether they are suitable for their new positions.

Eng. Andrew Kitaka, who has been acting ED since Musisi resigned in 2018, was one of the other four officials nominated.

He will now return to his position as director of engineering and technical services.

Others nominated are Eng. David Luyimbazi Ssali as deputy ED, Dr Okello Ayen Daniel as director public health and environment, deputy Lord Mayor Sarah Kanyike as director gender, community service and administration and Grace Akullo as director of administration and human resource management.
