NDA donates to COVID-19 team

The National Drug Authority has offered four trucks, with drivers and fuel to be used by the COVID-19 national task force to transport items for use during the fight against the virus.
 
Speaking during the meeting, Fredrick Ssekyana, the NDA spokesperson, said the trucks will also help address delays experienced in the distribution of relief food.
 
"We continue to appeal to the public to follow the Presidential directives and Ministry of Health guidelines to control the spread of COVID-19 pandemic," Ssekyana said.
 
NDA also offered to deliver tents from WFP for use at border points (Malaba, Busia and Mutukula) to facilitate the Ministry of Health in screening truck drivers for COVID-19 at the respective points.
