INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

Today is International Women's Day. New Vision has been sharing stories of different women telling us their struggles and how they have turned their life around.

Today, we celebrate Betty Ogiel Rubanga.

Some people call her 'Against All Odds' from the book she authored of the same title. Betty overcame speech impairment to become an inspirational speaker. She is also runs the Betty Ogiel Foundation, which she says supports needy girls to attain an education.

Betty's journey from one of the remotest parts of Uganda to what she is today has been eventful.

From losing her father, dropping out of school and being abandoned by her guardian to surviving a terrible car accident, she has overcome a series of challenges to become a senior human resource manager.

We present to you the second part of her story.
