Trademark who are second in the league lost the men singles 8-3 before bouncing back to win the doubles 8-4 and mixed doubles 8-1 respectively.

Trademark Dimonation closed in on table leaders PTC Warriors following their 2-1 victory over Lorika in the Kampala Premier Tennis over the weekend at Lugogo Tennis complex.

The league that is in its third season has seen tennis grow and also improve the level of competitiveness among players.

Elsewhere, Titans beat Trail Blazers 2-8 8-5 8-0, while Lugogo Boys received a walkover against PTC Warriors 8-0 8-0 8-0 who didn't turn up for the weekend games.

Despite the victory, Lugogo Boys remained fifth in the league with 33 points, nine above bottom sides Lorika and Game Changers that were not in action. 

The objective of the league was to promote the game of tennis to different stakeholders and according to Moses Bashaasha, the organizing committee chairman, this has been achieved.

The league that involves seven teams with each comprised of eight players with at least one junior player and a lady will have the top four teams engaging in playoffs after the preliminary rounds.

Trademark cruised past Trail Blazers to clinch the second edition of the League at Lugogo last season.
