NIRA gets new board

The new team of 8 members is headed by Joseph N. Biribonwa and Ruth Nvumetta Kavuma who is the vice-chairperson.

Cabinet approved the appointment of members to the board of directors of the National Identification and Registration Authority(NIRA).

The new team of 8 members is headed by Joseph N. Biribonwa and Ruth Nvumetta Kavuma who is the vice-chairperson.

Other members include Dr Betty Kivumbi Nannyonga, Maj Gen Apollo Kasita, James Saaka, Bemanya Twebaze, Dr Paul Kintu and Dr Chris Ndatira Mukiza.

NIRA is a government body responsible for registering all births and death in Uganda.

Also cabinet approved directors of National Animal Genetic resource centre and data bank. The chairperson will be Dr Johnson Nkuuhe, Dr Juliet Sentubwe, Paul Ssekyewa, Dr Herman Sekiwunga, Dr James Oluka, Eng Ssenozi Robert, Dr Kibeedi Kabral, Ben Anyama, Loice Biira Bwambale, Teddy Alako, Richard Akule and Charles Lagu.
