Christ the king church choir staged its upscale concert
RELIGION CHRISTMAS
KAMPALA - Christ the King Church Choir, the choral group that leads the singing during the 10:00am Sunday mass at Christ the King Church, Kampala) staged its upscale concert in Kampala recently.
During the evening show, the choir performed George Frideric Handel's Dettingen Te Deum, a celebratory robust musical work with eighteen solos (alto, baritone, bass) and choruses.
The choir also performed various Christmas hymns by local and international composers such as Fr Dr. James Kabuye, Sam Kimuli, Joel Raney, C.F. Alexander, John Stainer, John Hopkins, etc.
The choir was accompanied and directed by organist Paul Luggya and Stephen Oloka, respectively. The concert also featured Soul Orchestra Afrika, a string ensemble from Namirembe Cathedral.
