URA FC has parted ways with CEO Ivan Kakembo. This was revealed by the club Communication and Marketing Director Ian Rumanyika in a letter copied to the press.

"URA FC would like to confirm you that we shall not be renewing our CEO Ivan Kakembo's contract, following its expiration on November 30, 2019. The Club would like to thank Ivan for his work during the time at the dream team and to wish him success in the future," read part of the communication.

"We shall be communicating the interim CEO in due course as we go through a formal process to recruit a new CEO".

Kakembo's exit did not come as surprise as he has been at loggerheads with some of the technical team members plus those at the administrative level.

Kakembo who also served as CEO at SC Villa served for one year at URA and he will be remembered for introducing the first secretariat at the club plus also bringing sponsors on board.

URA has been inconsistent in the league, finishing the first round sixth on 20 points.

They managed only four wins, drew eight and lost three out of the 15 first-round matches.
