Museveni mourns Nalongo Josephine Kyazze

The President on Tuesday joined mourners to pay tribute to the late Nnalongo Kyazze in Katende village, Mawokota County in Mpigi District.

President Yoweri Museveni has expressed condolences to the family of  Nalongo Kiwanuka Kyazze Josephine, who died at the age of 68 years due to heart-related complications.

Kyazze was an active mobiliser during the protracted people's armed struggle of 1981 to 1986 that ushered the National Resistance Movement (NRM) government into power.

The President on Tuesday joined mourners to pay tribute to the late Nalongo Kyazze in Katende village, Mawokota County in Mpigi District.

"I came here to convey my condolences for the loss of our comrade whom we have known for a long time. She was a very committed worker for the country. She cared for the community," he said.

Museveni observed that Nalongo Kyazze had succumbed to death at a young age and expressed his condolences over such a loss to her family and the country at large.

Mourners at the funeral included Minister of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives,  Amelia Anne Kyambadde who is also the Mawokota North Member of Parliament.
