West Nile region has been cut off after floods deposited debris, weed and other plants on the Pakwach road making it impossible for motorists and pedestrians to cross.

According to the Uganda National Roads Authority, the teams from Gulu and Arua are mobilising equipment to clear the road.
The authority has also advised travellers to use ferries to and from West Nile as they work to make the road usable.
UNRA, However, says the bridge was not affected.
Meanwhile, the Hamurwa-Kanungu rod, connecting the districts of Kanungu and Rubanda has been cut after a bridge was washed away.
The residents have been advised to use and alternative route as the UNRA officials wait for the water to subside before they embark on the repair of the bridge.
