International University of East Africa (IUEA) sponsored boxer Shafik Kiwanuka has accounted for the latest supplies after the heavyweight dropped by the IUEA campus in Kansanga for a surprise public appearance on Wednesday.

Kiwanuka, who will battle Zimbabwe's Thamsanga Dube on November 29 for the Africa heavyweight title in the IUEA auditorium, jokingly sparred with a sponsor and university director Hassan Alwi and generally excited students as he underwent a pseudo workout in front the main university block.

Students lined up across the storied building to watch the 6ft5 star, sporting an all-white look, flex his game. Some even laced them up for a little boxing orientation from Kiwanuka and some of the November 29 undercard fighters.

It was the perfect drive for Kiwanuka's fight, who has asked his Team Killing Machine fan base to show up for his career night.

It is not clear who won the face-off between student and principal but safe to say both men left united on the importance of victory over Dube.

"I'm ready to support Kiwanuka in every way to make sure that he succeeds," said Alwi, who also contributed sh70m towards the boxer's preparations.

Kiwanuka believes it is not a matter of if but how long it will take him to beat Dube

"Because of his experience, he may manage to avoid an early knockout but I don't want to take it three rounds," Kiwanuka revealed.

Kiwanuka has not needed more than two minutes to win his first two professional fights so his sense of time remains understandably short. With the stakes higher than they have ever been for Kiwanuka, fans will be hoping he gets his time right again.
