Motocross riders are powering their machines on the Busiika track at the inaugural Armed Forces Motocross Championship. The international competition is in honour of the armed forces.

4:10pm | OUCH! - Fatuh Kiggundu

It is Heat 3 of the MX Open Class and Fatuh Kiggundu is the latest victim of the muddy, slippery surface.

The Ugandan rider's machine skids off the course and into the barricade. Looks bad on the eye, but he is helped back onto his bike and gets back on track.

If you are just joining this live page, you may want to know that the Armed Forces Motocross Championship kicked off Sunday morning at Busiika with the last practice in all classes.

Army generals, Police, Prisons, Federation of Motorsport Uganda (FMU) and National Council of Sports (NCS) officials are all in attendance.

Earlier, President Yoweri Museveni's son, Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, and other UPDF officials, flagged off the sporting event. Muhoozi is the senior presidential adviser for special operations.
