Uganda Cranes striker Farouk Miya was the goal hero as his side Konyaspor registered their first win of the season in the Turkish top-flight league.

Miya who joined from Croatian side HNK Gorica this summer transfer period has made four appearances and this was his third goal for his new employers.

The 22-year-old's goal came in the 54' minute of the second half, and it was this solitary goal that helped his team beat Denizlispor 1-0 at Denizli Atatürk Stadium.

The former Vipers SC and Mawokota County in Masaza cup in 2014 is adapting quickly to the Turkish league and if he can maintain this solid start of a performance, surely he will be a regular starter in Aykut Kocaman's team.

He first opened up his scoring account at the club, by scoring his first goal in a 2-2 draw with Antalyaspor in the league.

His second goal came in a friendly match against Keciorengucu, Miya's side registered a 3-0 victory.
