Puwata, Obuya star as Jinja SS storm semifinal of UCA Boys Cricket Week

Jinja SS have over the years earned their way to the natural contenders' bracket. They have two UCA Boys Schools Cricket Week titles to their name, with the latest in 2017.
 
Still, the fire remains burning inside of them and as this year's contest nears the business end, they could turn it on its head.
 
Featuring in group B, they are on the way to a third semifinal in three years. From 2016, they have been to the final twice and won one.
 
In 2017, the school fans were singing Calvin Watuwa for guiding them to the prestigious title. This year, Ronald Puwata is also basking in the adulation of his companions.
 
The youngster boasts of a respectable experience from the U19 Baby Cricket Cranes where he is fresh from representing Uganda at the recent Star Field Youth Tournament in Kenya.
 
He has proved brutal with the bat and his undefeated century of 131 from 678 balls against Busoga High School Tuesday puts everything else to shade. He is the man of the moment!
 
Robinson Obuya is also making a mark at the weeklong showpiece. With a half-ton, he was undefeated at 63 from 47 balls in Jinja SS' 79 runs win over Masaka SS Wednesday at Budo grass.
 
The event will incorporate a school's select side against Chairman's side at the climax on Saturday.
