KCCA FC partners with Egyptian side EL Gouna

The connections between these two clubs started this year.

League champions KCCA FC continued to lead by example after they managed to sign a deal with Egyptian Premier League side EL Gouna in Cairo that will see will see both clubs tap into each other's strengths.
 
The area they are looking at include; youth development programs, technical and knowledge exchanges, player development coordination and transfers, with Allan Kyambadde who was unveiled over the weekend taking the lead. 
 
The connections between these two clubs started this year.
 
"This is going to help the club to penetrate through different football circles within Africa. This is part of our five-year strategic plan and I believe we are moving in the right direction. We believe both sides are going to benefit from this partnership," stated KCCA FC chairman Aggrey Ashaba.

"We are glad to announce that we have signed a partnership agreement with Ugandan champions KCCA FC", Gouna confirmed the deal on its social media page.
 

Kyambadde who was signed for an undisclosed fee became the fifth Ugandan player to sign for an Egyptian side since the African Cup of Nations last month in Egypt.

 
The others are Khalid Aucho (Misr Lel Makkasa), Abdul Lumala (Pyramids), Emmanuel Okwi (Ittihad Alexandria) and Tadeo Lwanga(Tanta Sports Club).
 
Strikers Derrick Nsibambi and Isaigi also feature for Smouha Sports Club and Al Nasr Sporting Club, second-tier sides.
 
Kyambadde is also the third signing for EL Gouna that has only played one season in the top tier.
 
Meanwhile, the KCCA FC contingent from Namibia returned today after suffering a 3-2 defeat to the host African Stars in the CAF Champions League preliminary round.
 
The two sides will face off in the return leg on August 23 in Kampala.
