REQUEST FOR CONSULTANCY SERVICES
Background: SAA/SG2000 is a non-profit non-governmental international organization that promotes widespread adoption of improved pre and post-production agricultural technologies for smallholder farmers in Uganda in collaboration with relevant development partners including the government of Uganda. Currently, SAA/SG2000 Uganda is implementing a 5-year strategic plan (2019-23) which puts emphasis on strengthening operational effectiveness by enhancing the synergy of its field operations and its support to universities, as well as re-emphasizing its distinct role as a strong technical partner of the Ministry of Agriculture, rather than solely as a service provider.
Being an evidence-based organization, it is crucial that SAA conducts baseline studies across all intervention districts to help determine the current status of affairs regarding the key indicators identified to help assess progress towards achieving planned expected results (outcomes), goal and intermediate goal as per strategy document and Theory of Change (ToC). The baseline information on the key indicators will help inform the mid-term and end-term evaluations of the strategy (2019 - 23) It is on this background that SAA/SG2000 is seeking for Consultancy Services to conduct the Baseline Study.
