The Police Spokesperson, Fred Enanga says they have more inquiries to make into the matter before they take the file to the state attorney, for perusal.

KAMPALA - The self-styled city Pastor Joseph Kabuleta, will continue being under detention until all the inquiries into his cases are concluded, say Police.

Since his arrest on Friday evening, a team of lawyers led by Daniel Walyemera, have been working day and night to ensure that he secures a Police bond but all in vain.

The Police Spokesperson, Fred Enanga says they have more inquiries to make into the matter before they take the file to the state attorney, for perusal.

Kabuleta, was allegedly whisked away by plain clothed security agencies led by Police from Drew and Jacs restaurant, located at Lugogo in Kampala.

"Actually we are still holding him at the Special Investigations Division (SID) in Kireka as we finalise with our inquiries. We are yet to find out if more charges against him can be added; it will depend on the RSAs advice," Enanga said.

The preliminary information so far obtained by Police indicate that Kabuleta repeatedly posted grossly offensive messages, under "Joseph Kabuleta Weekly Rant Returns" referring to the President as a Gambler, Thief, and Liar, which is contrary to section 25 of the Computer Misuse Act,2011.

Police also sounds a warning to whoever comments or posts any false, fabricated information particularly through social media, shall be monitored, investigated and arrested.

Meanwhile, Kabuleta's lead counsel, Daniel Walyemera, says Police is also considering Libel/ defamation charges against his client.

He says, however much Police holds their client, they are preparing for Court. "We went to Kireka on Saturday morning at around 8am, but the head of SID Elly Owomanya told us to go back on Sunday, but when we went there again, they told us they could not help us since they were still working on the paper work," Walyemera said.

He adds that although at first Police had refused their client to meet his wife Rebecca Kabuleta and the personal doctor, they later allowed them after a big hustle.

Since 2011, several individuals have been charged with Offensive Communication under the Computer Misuse Act. Others include the Makerere University Researcher, Dr. Stella Nyanzi, and music promoter Andrew Mukasa alias Bajjo.
