DESIGNATION AND GAZETTEMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL INSPECTORS
The National Environment Act, 2019 mandates the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), by notice in the Gazette, to designate as it deems fit, dully qualified public officers, whether by name or by title of office, as Environmental Inspectors within such limits as may be prescribed in the notice.
This, therefore, is to inform the general public that by Legal Notice No. 8 - The National Environment (Designation of Environmental Inspectors) Notice, 2019, persons specified in the schedule to the above-mentioned Notice have been designated as Environmental Inspectors for a period of three years, commencing on the 15th day of March, 2019 and ending on the 15th Day of March, 2022.
