Ambassador Katende presents letters of credence

Ambassador Katende underscored Uganda’s desire to boost multilateral and bilateral cooperation with Paraguay especially in the areas of investment, trade, and tourism.

The Ambassador of Uganda to the U.S.A and also Non-Resident Ambassador to Paraguay, Mr. Mull Sebujja Katende, recently presented his letters of credence to the President of the Republic of Paraguay, H.E Mario Abdo Benitez.

At a function held at the Presidential Palace in the capital Asuncio, Ambassador Katende conveyed to President Benitez greetings and best wishes from the President of the Republic of Uganda, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

Ambassador Katende underscored Uganda's desire to boost multilateral and bilateral cooperation with Paraguay especially in the areas of investment, trade, and tourism.

In this respect, Ambassador Katende informed the President of his readiness to work with the Paraguayan government departments to link  the Ugandan private and public sectors with their Paraguayan counterparts in businesses that are mutually beneficial.

In a cordial and relaxed atmosphere, H.E President Mario Abdo Benitez thanked Uganda and especially President Museveni for upholding bilateral and multilateral relations with Paraguay.
 
He challenged business actors in both countries to explore and take advantage of existing opportunities in the various fields. President Benitez reciprocated greetings to President Museveni and wished him good health.
 
The other Non-Resident Ambassadors that presented letters of credence to H.E President Mario Abdo Benitez on the same day were of: Australia, Canada, Croatia, Indonesia, Kuwait, South Africa, and Sri Lanka (Based in Buenos Aires); and Indonesia; and Nigeria (based in Brasilia).
 
Ambassador Katende was accompanied to the function by Mr. Michael Bulwaka, First Secretary at the Embassy, based in Washington D.C.
