Victory proved elusive for KCCA against lowly Ndejje but that didn't stop the Lugogo side from clinching their 13th league title.

Mike Mutebi's side had to battle from one goal down after Anwar Ntege gave the hosts the lead.

It was Sadam Juma who got the decisive score sending KCCA fans wild into celebration. The draw put the Lugogo side at unassailable 60 points with two games left.

KCCA's closest challengers Vipers managed to beat Police but that was not good enough to keep them in the title race.

KCCA came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Ndejje

The Kitende team will even with wins in their two remaining games be a point less than KCCA even when the yellows lose their remaining fixtures.

Mutebi felt they could have done better. "The opposition was not that good but we also performed between 45% to 60%."

He was, however, impressed by the young talent that has come through from his junior team.  "it is very good to see talents like Sadat Anaku and Herbert Achayi now in the senior team."

In the battle against relegation Villa temporarily eased their worries by beating Maroons.

It was another bad day for relegated Nyamityobra as they were whipped by Tooro 3-0.

Ndejje still have a thin chance of surviving in their maiden season on the big stage if they win their two remaining matches and Villa falter.

Action continues Wednesday with four exciting games led by the West Nile derbie between Paidha Black Angles and Onduparaka.
