Muslim scouts mark 25 years of existence

The silver jubilee that took place at Kampala University, Ggaba under the theme ‘’what have you done, for Allah, for your country and for yourself’’ attracted a number of scouts from the country and the East African region incuding Tanzania , Burundi , Kenya and south Africa.
The Muslim scouts under their umbrella, National Union of Uganda Muslim Scouts (NUUMS) has marked 25 years of service.

The function was presided over by State Minister for Internal Affairs Kenia Obiga who applauded the Muslim scout leadership for spear heading the training of young Muslim scouts saying scouting does not only install discipline among scouts but trains them to become good citizens and patriots.
The National Union of Uganda Muslim Scout was established on October 30, 1992 following the 4th International Union for Muslim Scouts (IUMS) conference held in Islamabad Pakistan being a visionary idea by its founder Scouter Hajj Sulayiman Musana.
