The Lugogo side came from goal down to secure a 1-1 draw with Vipers Thursday at StarTimes stadium in a top of the table clash.

"Our chances of winning the league have dropped to 70% since we have tough remaining games. We should have won the match since we created a lot of chances that were failed to bury," KCCA coach Mike Mutebi said.

KCCA who had themselves to blame after putting up a good show in the second half remained top with 53 points, four above second-placed Vipers.

The highly anticipated tie that was watched by a big number of fans, lived to its expectations and could be the game of the season.

Viper who saw their key player Halid Lwaliwa substituted a few minutes into the game after picking an injury opened the lead through Brian Nkuubi in the 29th minute. Mike Mutyaba who is the top scorer for KCCA with ten goals, leveled matters in the 49th minute but he limped off after sustaining an injury and was replaced by Lawrence Bukenya.

"It's a plus to pick a point since we struggled in the second half. But the good thing, the four-point gap remains and shall continue to push for the title although KCCA has an upper hand since they top," said Vipers coach Michael Ouma.
