The USF Midland swimming gala remains centrally placed in the grassroots development of swimming in Uganda.
Exclusive to national primary schools, it is such a huge platform for showcasing talent and one that has since grown in significance and numbers.
It comes with no doubt that most of the national swimmers have risen through this tournament.
With this year's edition launched Thursday at Rainbow International School, the expectations are quite higher.
"At least 360 swimmers are gearing up for the contest which must be a big show of talent. As Uganda Swimming Federation we pride on identifying and promoting talent" said Max Kanyerezi, USF official.
Meanwhile, hosts Greenhill Academy are favourites when the event takes place Saturday
Last year, they collected 1776 points above Seeta Junior in a meet where the disabled Husinah Kakundakwe was the center of attraction.
Midland Group of Companies, the title sponsors have remained committed to the annual event that can only get better.
