Sports-Kirinya Duo join South Sudan U-23 team

After Maroons FC midfielder Ivan Wani joining South Sudan's Under 23 team, two of Kirinya Jinja SS  FC players in goalkeeper Emmanuel Lubangakene and left back Julius Debo have both been accredited to join the team ahead of their tough second round qualifying doubleheader against Tunisia.

The duo admitted that this was the only opportunity they had, to play for a national team.

‘'We saw that we did not have an opportunity to feature for any Ugandan national team age group but when we got an invitation from the country of our ancestors, we could not turn down that opportunity,'' said Debo.

The duo will be heading for the qualifiers scheduled to take place on March 20 and 24.
