Goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga was Express' hero as they qualified for the quarterfinals of the Uganda Cup.

Muwanga saved penalties from Juma Balinya and Edgar Bwogi to eliminate Police 4-1 on spot kicks after the match ended goalless at Wankulukuku Stadium.

This was sweet revenge for Express who lost 2-0 to Police in the league only a few weeks ago.

Elsewhere, Jamal Karisa scored a brace as Bright Stars ejected URA 2-1 away at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole. Shafik Kagimu scored URA's consolation goal.
