Uganda drops in FIFA ranking

Uganda’s drop in rankings follows fewer football activities for the country between December 2018 and January 2019.

 
Uganda has dropped two places in the latest FIFA rankings that were released Thursday.
 
The Pearl of Africa that gathered 1,320 points dropped from 75th to 77th out of the 206 member countries ranked by the world governing body.
 
Uganda's drop in rankings follows fewer football activities for the country between December 2018 and January 2019.
 
Other CECAFA Members:
 
Kenya dropped by one place to 102th with 1210 points. Kenya is also second to Uganda as the best country in the CECAFA region.
 
Rwanda (135), Ethiopia (151), Burundi (138), Tanzania (137), Sudan (127), South Sudan (164), Djibouti (197), Eritrea and Somalia are joint 204th.
 
Belgium (1727 points), France (1726), Brazil (1676), Croatia (1634), England (1631), Portugal (1614), Uruguay (1609), Switzerland (1599), Spain (1591) and Denmark (1589) are the top countries in the FIFA ranking.
 
The next ranking will come out in March.
